Winemaking:
The first Quinado by Niepoort was launched in the 1950s and was a wine made from Tawny's in which quinine was added and later sent overseas in order to serve as a remedy for malaria. This wine represents the revival of the old Niepoort tradition of making Quinado Wine. We made a blend using a Quinado Wine with younger and fresher characteristics with a small amount of Quinado Wine from the 1950s and 1970s, rich in concentration and body, which we found in our warehouse in Serpa Pinto.
