Winemaking:
Manual harvest in small boxes of 20Kg, total destemming, fermentation in traditional lagares with foot treading, unfiltered. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Grape Varieties:
Tinto Cão, Sousão, Alicante Bouschet
Tasting Notes:
Black fruits, plum, woods, moist soil, balsamic notes. Strong tannins, very good acidity, it is clearly a bold Douro wine. Wood notes, black cherries and cedars.
Store and serve advice:
Store flat in a cool place away from direct natural light. Must be served at 18º.
Food Pairing:
Highly gastronomic, goes well with fatty meats.
