Winemaking:
This is our most popular wine with a solid track record. A juicy, ripe, easy-drinking wine, bottled early, usually 6 months after harvest and without aging in oak. Best drunk young, but will improve with short term guarding. Mainly Aragonez and Syrah, mixed with other Portuguese grape varieties. The name Chaminé comes from one of our vineyard plots – 'Chaminé de Gião', where the grapes used in wine were originally grown. Ripe fruits. Fermented without stems at a controlled temperature, with frequent deletage. Stored in stainless steel tanks before early bottling, without fining and filtered.
