Winemaking:
Vineyards over 50 years old of the 'Castelão' variety and younger vines of the 'Touriga Nacional', 'Trincadeira' and 'Cabernet Sauvignon' varieties in Fernando Pó, Palmela. Fermentation in stainless steel vats, at controlled temperature, followed by a period of 20 days of prolonged maceration. It aged for 12 months in French oak half barrels, followed by another 8 months in the bottle.

Garnet-coloured wine, almost opaque, with aromas reminiscent of black fruits, spices and smoke, and notes of jam due to the long period of maturation. Dense, full on the palate and well structured. Tannins are present, but they are smooth and well integrated. An extremely pleasant, long-lasting and persistent finish.Store and serve advice:

Accompanies red meat, game, roasts, strong cheeses and foie gras.Allergens:
